Computer

Last week Hayden got his first computer. He Loves It!!!! We decided to get him one because he is always playing games on ours and at school. We were going to get him a desk top but decided to get him a laptop so we can monitor him. Plus, there wouldn't be wires going everywhere in his room and we can travel with it. He gets on it almost everyday to play on the Thomas & Friends or Chuggington website or just to watch Thomas episodes.

Landon's 1st Haircut

Landon had his first haircut yesterday at daycare. It was sad for Blaine and I to let go of his curls but it was time. His hair was getting long, that our daycare lady, Vicki, was threatening us that one day when we picked Landon up from daycare he would have pig tails. She never did but since she said it so much she thought that she would just do it for laughs and took a picture of it. She said that he did wonderful. He sat there like a Big Boy. The only time that he got scared was when Shae, Vicki's daughter who helps out, started using the clippers and didn't like the nose of them. Now he looks like a 1 year old.

Also, Hayden went to his first movie yesterday with Papa. He had the day off from school, Snow Day. They went to see "How To Tame Your Dragon" in 3D. Papa said that he did great and loved the movie. They also shared popcorn and lemonade. It was a good day for both of my boys.

Everyone is doing great. Landon is still speed crawling but is starting to bear crawl alot and is pushing/walking with his Mickey Mouse Train, will have to post videos of it. I'm guessing pretty soon he will be walking or running. Man, I'm I going to be in trouble. I am sooooooooooooooooo ready for the track season to be over with and school. Had our parent/teacher conference with Hayden's teacher last week. Ms. Tucker said that Hayden is doing terrific and that academically he is way beyond for his age. I was so glad to hear that because I was concerned with him being the youngest kid in his class but he will be going to Kindergarten next year. Can you believe that!!!! My baby is growing up and I don't like it.

Landon's 1st Birthday

Ok, Ok, Ok....I know that it has been awhile but there has been alot going on in our family. Let's start out with Landon's 1st Birthday. We went down to Round Rock for Spring Break to celebrate his birthday with all of our family. I can't believe that Our Little Monkey is One!!! It just seems like yesterday when I was driving myself to the hospital becasue Blaine was out of town at the Texas Relays. What is Our Monkey up to:

He weights 19 pounds 15 ounces and is 29 inches long.
He has three teeth.
He is eating solid foods since he was 10 1/2 to 11 months, no more baby food. He loves pancakes, green beans, bananas, turkey, ham, carrots, cheerios, and gold fish just like brother.
Wears 9 months cloths and size 3 diapers.
He is our Speedy Gonzales. He crawls soooooooooo fast.
He's not walking yet but he pulls up on everything and will walk along the side of furniture or what ever he can get his little hands on.
He loves trains just like his brother. When Hayden is playing in his room with his trains, Landon has to be right their with him.
He has been sleeping through the night since he was 3 months and takes 2 naps a day.
We haven't switched to whole milk yet since I still have a whole freezer full of breastmilk.
He is starting to say more and more words like....tickle, tickle, tickle, bye-bye, dadda, mama, bubba (that's what he calls Hayden).

We were so glad that everyone was able to make it to Landon's birthday and help us celebrate. He is still loving all of his gifts. When he isn't playing with them, Hayden is playing with them. I guess you can never be to old for baby toys. Thanks again to everyone. Hope you enjoy the pictures and video. You can never be to late.

Sorry that I haven't updated or blog but things around the Wiley household have been very crazy. We have been dealing with VERY sick kids. Last Tuesday we went for Landon's 9 month check-up and everything was great. He weighted 18 pounds 9 ounces and 27 1/2 inches long. We didn't have to get any immunization shots just his 2nd round of the H1N1 shot.

Then Wednesday Hayden woke-up with a fever. Blaine took him to the doctor and he tested positive for RSV. Then Thursday afternoon Landon's daycare called and he was running a 101 fever so I went to pick him up. Took him to the doctor and he also tested positive for RSV and had a double ear infection. So they perscribed us medication for his ears and his coughing and we also started him on breathing treatments. Then on Monday, Hayden was finally able to go back to school. He had missed three days of school. Blaine and I felt that Landon wasn't getting better so yesterday I took him back to the doctor. They ran some test on him. His oxygen levels were good, they listened to his lungs to make sure there was no wheezing in them and there wasn't. I was glad to here that. They had thought when I had brought him in that maybe he had pneumonia. She checked his ears out to make sure the ear infection was gone and BAM!!! He still had a terrible ear infection. She said that it is so bad that it looks like that it's getting ready to burst...YIKES! So now he is on some strong medicine for his ears and we are giving him so numbing drops for the pain. He finally slept through the night for the first time since Saturday.

We are hoping that now things are going to turn around for us and the kids will stay healthy for awhile. I will leave you with a couple of updated pics of the boys.

Polar Express

On Saturday we rode the Polar Express. Hayden had a great time. He enjoyed it more this time because last year when we went he had a bad ear infection and wasn't feeling to good. Landon enjoyed looking at all the lights that were decorated all over the train. When we got to the North Pole, Santa got on the train with all of his elves and gave all the kids a Bell, which is the first gift of Christmas in the movie. He also asked all the kids what they wanted for Christmas. Hayden told him that he wanted a scooter. Landon was just mesmerized by him. We had a great time and can't wait to do it again with the kids next year.

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year we went to San Antonio. We stayed at a great place called Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch. It was wonderful. We had a one bedroom condo that was wonderful. They had an indoor/outdoor heated pool, a indoor/outdoor slide, lazy river (very cold and we didn't get in) and a huge fire pit that we did smores on one night. On Wednesday we met my mom and Clarence for lunch in San Marcos @ Mamacita's, I sure do miss eating there and the food was so good. Blaine took me around campus, I can't believe how much everthing has changed and grown. I saw the new football stadium and the softball and baseball fields. Then I saw were our house use to be. It was a sad moment for me because our first house is gone along with some of the great trees and now a stip mall is there instead.

On Thanksgiving day we went, along with Alan and Linda, to the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Spa to have lunch. They served everything that you can imagion. They had a salad and soup bar, pasta bar, seafood bar, your traditional Thanksgiving food, and a breakfast bar. They also had tons of deserts and homemade ice cream that was out of this world. For Hayden, they had a seperate kids buffet that was at his level. They had a movie going for all the kids to watch if they wanted to, a coloring station, and a clown that was making balloon animals or what ever you want...like a sword-that's what Hayden got. We all loved it.

The next day we all went to Sea World. One of our good friend's from college, Kyle Hierholzer, met us there and we got to spend the day with him. We went and saw the Clyde and Semore show, the Shamu show, watched Polar Express in 4-D, the grown-ups rode the roller costers...except for Linda, and Hayden played on the playscape that they have and rode a little shamu roller coster they had for kids. Is was a long day. We were there from 10-6.

Saturday we took it easy. We stayed around the condo and then for an early dinner we went to Market Square and ate at Mi Tierra's. They have to best food and bakery. We were going to go on the River Walk but OMG it was so crowded. It was like everyone from San Anotiono was down there. So we just drove by the lights so Hayden could see them and headed back to the condo.

We had a wonderful time and we want to go back to the Wild Oak Ranch during the summer so we can get in the lazy river. I have two slide shows...couldn't fit them all on to one.

Starting to Crawl

This past weekend Landon started getting on all fours and started, sort of crawling. The only thing that he loves right now is my cell phone, the remote to the TV and Hayden's hot wheel cars. So we put those in front of him so he will go after them. Landon is sitting up by himself all the time and he eats really good. He loves his veggies and his fruit and I'm still nursing. He sleeps 10-12 hours a night and takes 2 1.5 - 2 hour naps a day. He is loving daycare and doing really good. He hates it when I leave the room...he starts to cry. If you take anything away from him he gets upset and says DaDa alot. We still don't know what color eyes he is going to have. They are blue on the outside and hazel on the inside. When he wears something with blue on him his eyes look blue but when he wears like grey or brown the look hazel. Maybe he will have different color eyes depending on the color of clothes he wears. He is so in love with his brother. Anytime that he sees Hayden he has the biggest smile on his face and gets excited. Hayden is such a good big brother.

Star Student

Hayden got award on Thursday at his school for being a "Star Student." They had an award assembly for all the Pre-K students. It was so cute. They called everyone up to get their medal and then let them stay up there for all the kids and parents to see. I'm so proud of our big boy. Here are some pics of him standing up front holding their School Spirit Words, "Do Your Job" and going up and getting is medal. They also gave all the Star Students ice cream on Monday.

Mr. Conductor and Little Scarecrow. Hayden had a blast going door to door getting candy. At the beginning he didn't like the idea of going up to the doors by himself so Blaine or I would go up there with him. But by the end he was doing it by himself and didn't want our help. Landon was along for the ride in the wagon and enjoyed every minute. He was our little trooper. We went up and down a couple of streets and then Hayden was ready to come home and pass out candy. He had more fun passing out the candy then trick-or-treating.

Before we went out trick-or-treating, Daddy and Hayden carved a pumpkin. Hayden really didn't know what to think about it at first. He didn't' want to get his hands dirty but once he realized how nasty it felt he was liking it. That's a boy for you.

On Friday at school, Hayden got to dress up in his costume and they had a parade down the hallways. All the parents got to go and watch the kids parade their costumes down the hall. We have a little video of it. I didn't get to go but Blaine did and he said that it was so cute. Then he went to his classroom and took pictures of Hayden and all of his friends. They had a blast. Hayden is doing really good in school. He is recognizing all his letters and he signs some of them to us. He loves to sit at his little table in the dinning room and practice on tracing his letters and writing his name and drawing his family. It's hilarious!

Landon is growing like a weed. When we went to the doctor two weeks ago he almost weighted 17 pounds and was 26 1/2 inches long. He is right were he needs to be. He is sitting up by himself really good. And everything that you have in your hands he thinks that he should have. When you lay him on his tummy, he scoots himself backwards. He loves his veggies and fruit. He know eats them at lunch and dinner. He takes 2 naps for 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours a day and sleeps 10 -12 hours at night. You wouldn't believe how much he is changing. He will be 7 Months tomorrow.

Sitting

We have been working with Landon sitting up by himself and he is doing great! We went and got our flu shot on Wedensday. We had to go to the Lubbock County Health Department because everyone in our Region was out of the flu shot for 6 months - 1 year and for adults. They only had a limited supply and it was first come first serve. We were there at 7:45 a.m. and didn't get out of there until 9:30 a.m. He only cried for a second and then there was a smile on his face. He never ran a fever and is feeling good. Man he is a trooper. We go this coming Monday for his 6 month check-up. More shots and it sucks. Will give you the updates on his check-up on Tuesday.

First Field Trip

Hayden had his first field trip at ABC School on Tuesday. They went to the Hockley County Fair Grounds. Blaine met his class there but I was unable to get off of work. Also, Hayden got to ride a bus for the first time and he loved it. Blaine said that he had a great time. They got to feed and pet camels, goats, sheep, pigs, and chickens. He got to hold baby chickens. They had a huge bug collection that Hayden really enjoyed. They had a buddy system and he held hands with Kinley, they sit next to each other in class. High Chair

Last night I fed Landon in his high chair for the first time and he loved it. Thought that it would be a mess but he was really good. Can't believe how fast he is growing up in front of our eyes. Everyone is doing great. It has been cold here today, 49 for the high. Maybe I can convince Blaine to start a fire. Hayden is doing really good in school. He as learned to spell his name out saying it. I can't believe that he is becoming our little school boy. Hopefully he will take on our athletic side too. Oh, Landon has peas and green beans all over his face. His favorite vegetables are green bean, squash, sweet potatoes, and peas. Doesn't care for carrots at all. His favorite fruits are bananas, peaches, pears. I have more fruit but haven't gotten around to trying it on him yet. Still holding back on giving him applesauce because Hayden was allergic to apples for the longest time and it just scares me that Landon will to, but I have try it.

Pumpkin Patch

Saturday we all went to Floydada, TX to Assiter Punkin Ranch. It was a nice fall day to go and pick out our pumpkins. Hayden had more fun climbing on the huge pumpkins then helping us pick some out for the house. It was raining but Hayden wanted to go out in it and get pictures in front were they had different displays you could take pictures. Landon didn't know what to think of it. But he loved it when I put him in the chair to take his picture with a pumpkin.

South Plains Fair

We went to the South Plains Fair on Saturday. Hayden had a blast riding the rides at the carnival, seeing all the animals, and getting to hold a baby chicken at the petting zoo. Hayden's favorite ride this year was the slide. It's about three stories up and you have to get on a rug to go down it. The first time that he went down he didn't look happy, more scared, until he got to the bottom and stopped and saw Blaine and I laughing and he decided to go again and again. We had to make him leave because he was using up all his tickets. We ate corn dogs and french fries and had strawberry lemonade to drink. It was great, but man fried food really gets to Blaine and I because we never eat it.

We took some video of Hayden going down the slide. Blaine decided to take them sideways....so sorry that you have to look at it with your head cocked. The first one is of the first time that he went down. You can tell that he didn't know what to think about it until the end. The second on he has the biggest smile on his face.

Homework

Hayden had his first homework assignment that was due today. We had to put a collage together of the family and his name. I drew his name out and he helped color the inside of his name but then he got frustrated because he wanted to out of the lines and I was telling him to stay in between the lines. Then he helped me cut his pictures out. I had to go back on some of the pictures that he cut, but he did a pretty good job on some of them. And of course we had to get Thomas the Train involved so he went and got some stickers out of his room and put them on. I think that it turned out great. Sorry for the glare in the picture. I tried every which way to make it not get the glare but it happened anyways. The picture is of Aunt Candace, Uncle Jeremy, Mamma, Pappa, Blaine, Hayden, and Me pregnant.

Green Beans

Landon had his first taste of vegetables on Tuesday....Green Beans. At first he wasn't so sure about it. He only ate a teaspoon of the green beans (put them in a separate bowl). So on Wednesday night I gave the green beans to him again and he went to town on them. He probably had a little more than 4 teaspoons full. Then last night he just couldn't get enough of them. He had 3-4 tablespoons full. That's our little man. Mrs. Vicki, Landon's daycare lady, said that he has been having trouble with his cereal in the mornings. She said that he hasn't been wanting it. Well not Thursday morning because she said that he had 4 tablespoons full of cereal. I think that he most be going through a growth spurt. But man he sure can eat alot.

Pajama Friday

Last Friday Hayden had pajama day at school. He wanted to wear his Thomas the Train pajamas but they were long sleeve and we were afraid that he would get to hot in them so we went with Cars. Hayden is doing so great in school and he is loving it. Everyday I can't believe that my little boy is going to school. He is learning to write his name and spell it out. They grow up so fast.

5 Months

Well Landon is 5 months today. Man he is growing up so fast. It just seems like yesterday when he came into this world. He can roll over from front to back, grab anything that is in his site (especially my hair when he is nursing or I'm holding him), laugh out loud, smile really big, talk or babble, and sometimes sit up on his on ( just for a second or so). Oh, and he eats baby cereal. We started feeding him cereal on August 23rd and he is loving it. And in the next week coming weeks he will start on vegetables. Next week Landon will be going to daycare full time. I'm sad that Linda and Alan will not be keeping him at home anymore. They have done a terrific job with him and I'm so blessed to have great in-laws. But they need to get their travel on. They will still come and see us and keep Landon two weeks out of every month.

Hayden is doing great at school. He loves is teacher, Mrs. Tucker, and all his friends. It has been a big adjustment for everyone but it has been worth it. We were afraid that Hayden wouldn't like going to school but he is loving it. Thank Goodness. Blaine drops him off every morning and walks him in. They walk to the gym and he goes and sits down in his class room line. Blaine just follows him to make sure he know where he is going. But starting next week, Blaine will drop Hayden off and he will walk in by himself because Landon will be in the car going to daycare. Don't know if I really like that idea of Hayden walking in by himself but he has to learn sooner or later. Maybe I can convince Blaine to drop Landon off first. Just have to wait and see.

Hayden's 4th Birthday Party

This past Saturday we had Hayden's Birthday party and Chuck E. Cheese. I'm so glad that we had it there because it was soooooooooo much eaiser than having it at our house. Didn't have to clean the house for company, didn't have to cook or set up anything. All we did was show up and everything was done for us, except I brought our own cake. We want to thank everyone for coming and help celebrate Hayden's Birthday. I hope everyone had a blast, I know that Hayden did. His friends Braeden, Bree, Mark, Mattie, and Kelby came from daycare and Faith and Micah came too. Hope you enjoy the pictures. Hayden's First Day of School - Pre-K

Oh My Gosh!!! Today is Hayden's first day of school. It was a rough morning for Daddy and I. Hayden did great. He walked right into his room, but his backpack in his cubby, we took a couple of pictures, but when we were getting ready to leave I don't think he wanted us to. Mrs. Tucker, his teacher, asked him if he wanted to color and he told her no. But luckily one of his friends from daycare, Jenna, walked in and he went right with her to her cubby and I walked out. Then Mommy started crying. I hope that it will get easier for all of us. I can't believe that our baby is going to school.

Hayden's Birthday

Well we celebrated Hayden's birthday this past weekend by taking him to Toys R Us and letting him pick out a gift from Mommy and Daddy. He got the Roundhouse Sheds to store his Thomas trains in and got a couple of Thomas trains from Mamma and Pappa. Then he wanted to go eat at Texas Roadhouse, "Willies" that is what he calls it, for lunch. We had a good time with us and Nana. Then for his birthday he took cupcakes to daycare for all of his friends to enjoy. We also had open house at his school, yes can you believe that Hayden will be starting Pre-K on Monday, and met his Teacher, Mrs. Tucker. Then we went back to the hotel, another story, and he had cake and stayed up late watching movies. Now we are in trouble because Hayden is going to want to stay at a hotel on his birthday every year. All in all he had a wonderful day. We are celebrating his birthday this weekend with a party a Chuck E Cheese.

As for the hotel...we had to live there for a couple of days. We had another huge leak under our slab. But, we are thankful that they didn't have to jack hammer in our house and mess is all up. They went through the garage this time, but they had to remove all our water heaters and our a.c. unit just to get to the leak so we were unable to stay there. Before they removed the a.c. unit, we still weren't able to stay there because Landon wouldn't be able to take his naps with all the jack hammering going on. They found the leak and we are all moved back to the house...YEAH!!!!

We Are Back

OK...OK...OK. I know that it has been a long time since I have posted. But, I thought that I would update you all on what is going on in our life. We are all doing great. I returned to work June 29th, which sucks, and Landon is being cared by Nana and Papa. Hayden still goes to daycare every once in awhile. He is taking swim lessons and loving it. He can swim under water and touch to bottom of the pool. He is our little water bug. Landon is rolling from his stomach to his back. Have a video for everyone to watch. He is a great baby. He has been sleeping through the night, 10-12 hours, for a little over a month. He takes great naps, 1 1/2 - 2 hours. Oh Yea, we also have a new puppy named Lady. Hayden named her after one of his trains from the Thomas and Friends collection. We are so thankful to be blessed with two wonderful boys. Here are some recent pictures of the boys. Enjoy!

Day Out With Thomas

Sorry that it has been awhile since I have blogged but I have been really busy with our new addition. On Friday April 10th, Hayden, Blaine and Linda went on Thomas The Train. He had a BLAST!!! They had games to play, tattoos of Thomas to put on, and a big Thomas store that you could shop at. Wish I could have been there to see how much fun he had. Blaine had a hard time getting Hayden back in the car. He just wanted to play and ride Thomas all day. Can't wait for him to do it again. Hopefully the next time all four of us can go.

Thomas Bike

During Spring Break Hayden and Blaine had been spending a lot of time outside enjoy our nice weather. When I got home one day, they were outside and Hayden was riding his tricycle. We have begged and begged him to ride his big boy Thomas bike but he never wanted to. Well, that day a couple of young kids came riding by the house on their bikes and Hayden saw them. We then asked him if he wanted to get his Thomas bike out and ride it like the kids were. He said yes. Man, if we knew that's all it would have taken we would have done it a long time ago. It took him awhile to get the peddling down. He wanted to keep going backwards but we had to tell him that you can't go backwards on a big boy bike that when you push your peddles backward you put your brakes on. Once he understood, that was the end. He was having a blast riding his bike. We couldn't even get him off of it when it was time to eat supper. We told him that if he had ate a good supper that we would go back outside and ride his bike up and down the street. Well, that's what him and Daddy did. I could only make it half way and I was tired by then. Blaine had to keep running after him because he was going so fast. Now we have to ride his Thomas bike everyday. We are so glad that he is finally enjoying it.

NJCAA Indoor National Champions

This past weekend was the NJCAA Indoor National Championship held at Texas Tech University. We are so excited because the Texans and the Lady Texans took home the National Championship Title. This was the first NJCAA Track and Field title for the Lady Texans. We are so proud of Blaine in all that he does to be the GREATEST Coach. They will start their outdoor season March 28th in El Paso at the UTEP Invitiational.

Baby's Room

We, Blaine and Hayden, started painting the baby's room last week before we left for Round Rock. Blaine had to put 3 coats of primer on the wall that was painted a deep blue. We couldn't believe that it took that many coats. Hayden was so excited to get to paint the baby's room. Every since we bought the paint he kept telling us that it was time to paint the room and he wanted to paint too. We put some old clothes on him and let him go after it. He had a BLAST!!! He painted a couple of walls and then after that he was done. And yes we had paint all over our hands but it came off really easy. Last night I decided to paint the accent wall. It looks really good. I'm getting excited because we are almost to the end of painting. Just have to paint the other walls in an off white and we are done. Then it's time to move the furniture in and decorate and what ever else has to be done.

Beaver Creek

After Christmas we went to Beaver Creek, CO with Alan and Linda to go skiing, relax, and enjoy the snow. And of course I didn't ski. I took advantage of the spa and got a pedicure and a pre-natal massage, which by the way was out of this world. That was one of the best massages that I have ever had! The first day we got there we drove in some very bad weather. I think Blaine and Alan almost had heart attacks because the roads were so bad. I'm just glad that Hayden slept through the whole thing. We put Hayden in ski school the third day that we were there and it was working out fine until he got sick. He was just getting over an ear infection and dealing with the altitude. So he didn't get to finish. We asked him if he wanted to do it the next day and he told us that he wants to wait till he's a little bit bigger to go skiing. Which by the way was so hilarious when he told us that. And he still tells us that when he sees someone skiing on T.V. Blaine had a blast skiing. I wish I was up there with him. He covered the whole mountain since he was skiing by himself. He would leave by 8:30 and be back to the condo by 2. One day he took the camera up with him to get some good pictures from the mountain. There are some big homes in a couple of the pictures that are in an area called Bachelor's Gulch. These homes run from $5-$20 million or more. We all went to Vail one day to shop, walk around, and eat at Pepi's Restaurant. On New Year's Eve we went to Beaver Creek Village to watch the Glow Worm Ski Down and the Torchlight Parade and then following that we watched the fireworks. Then we went to one of the bars/restaurants where they had a live D.J. and had a blast. All that Hayden wanted to do was dance. When it was time for us to leave we had to pull him off the dance floor. The day we left we decided to leave early because there was a bad snow storm coming in and we are glad we did. When we woke up that morning it wasn't snowing but by the time we checked out and got in our cars there were huge snowflakes coming down. So once again we had to drive in some bad weather. Hayden chilled the entire time...Thank God for DVD's! We had a blast and can't wait to go back. Thank you Linda and Alan for such a wonderful trip. Christmas 2008

OK....I know, but things have been really busy for Blaine and I. Going back to work, catching up on work, starting a new track season, and taking care of Hayden. We had a great Christmas. It started out with our Christmas Eve Shrimp Boil. Blaine did such a great job and it was sooooooo good. We made cookies for Santa and put them out along with some milk for him when he stopped by. Then we got up Christmas morning and Hayden couldn't wait to see what Santa brought him. Blaine could hardly hold him back because I wanted to get the camera ready but that didn't work. Hayden was very spoiled by Santa this year. He got wooden trains, a wooden bridge and a station for his train tracks, movies, clothes, and many other Thomas and Friends stuff. Then we let him have his breakfast in the living room, which never happens, with all his toys so he could enjoy them. Then Grandma and Grandpa C came over and we started unwrapping the rest of the gifts from them and Nana and Papa. Man, Hayden made out with some good gifts this Christmas. It was kind-of hard to keep him unwrapping because all he wanted to do was play with what he just unwrapped. Then we had our Christmas lunch. Oh My Gosh it was so good. Thank you everyone for helping, we couldn't have done it without you. We also want to thank everyone for the great gifts. Sorry these pictures and this posting is so late.

The Polar Express

Last night we went on The Polar Express in Lubbock. Hayden had a blast! It was a very cold night but the train was warm and cozy. They passed out hot chocolate and cookies to everyone, sang Christmas carols, read the book, and played music from the movie. When we got to the North Pole Santa Clause and his elves were waiting for us to arrive. Then they got on the train and Santa talked with every boy and girl and passed out a "Bell". This was the first gift of Christmas from the movie. When Santa came around to us he asked Hayden what he wanted for Christmas and he told him a bell. Smarty. But then he told him that he wanted trains. Then they asked the kids to get in the isle if they wanted to dance. And of course Hayden didn't hesitate. One of the Elves saw Hayden and started dancing with him. He loved it. We are so glad that we went and hopefully it will return next year. Hope everyone has a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

It's A Boy!!

We are so EXCITED. We went for our ultrasound today for them to check out the baby's anatomy. They made sure that everything looks good and is functioning like it's supposed to. Then she asked us if we wanted to know the sex of the baby, and of course we said Yes. Then she told us that "It's a Boy." We asked her if she was for sure and she said yes...here is the scrotum. Those were her exact words. We are so excited that we are having another boy. I think Hayden will enjoy being a big brother and I know that he will be great at it. I have attached a couple of pictures of Baby Boy Wiley. In one of the pictures there is an arrow pointing to the scrotum telling us that It's a Boy. It's really hard to make out. In the other pictures he has his hand under his chin and you can see his fingers.

Thanksgiving in Round Rock

We drove back home for Thanksgiving. Man, what a long trip. But Hayden is a sport. Thank Goodness for DVD players, they are a life saver. We had Bum Bum (Scooter), Nana and Papa's cat, up in Levelland with us since September so we were bringing him home. All that he wanted to do was either lay in Hayden's lap or down by his feet. They are Best Friends. We had a great and relaxing time in Round Rock. Stayed with Uncle JJ and Aunt Candace for a couple of nights and then went and stayed at Nana and Papa's. Had Thanksgiving lunch with Grandma and Grandpa C. And spent some time with Mamma and Pappa. Oh, also went shopping with Aunt Candance on Black Friday and had a blast. We need to do that again. We also took Hayden on a train ride in Cedar Park that he loved. We did our Christmas with Uncle JJ and Aunt Candace since we will not be able to see them at Christmas time. They spoiled Hayden soooooooooo much with tons of wooden train tracks, trains, and a Thomas Rolling Bag to put it all in. Thank you Jeremy and Candace for everything. We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Miss everyone already and can't wait to see everyone soon.

Hanging Christmas Ornaments

We put our Christmas tree up early this year because we were going to be gone for Thanksgiving. We had our whole house, inside and out, done the weekend before Thanksgiving. It felt great when we got home from Round Rock not having to worry about putting any decorations up. Hayden had a blast decorating the tree. He was getting in the Chritmas spirit. He keep singing "O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree." We asked him were he learned that from and he said from school. It was great! When he was decorating the tree he was putting all the ornaments on the same branch. At one point he had 7 different ornaments on one branch. Both, Blaine and I had to keep going behind him and putting the ornaments on differents branches and up higher. We had a great time and enjoyed seeing Hayden have fun.

Hayden and Santa

The other weekend we all went to this place called Holland Gardens to get light holders for the lights on the roof. We thought that it was going to be a garden nursery, it usually is, except when Christmas comes around. Well to our surprise we walked in and they had the whole place decorated with all there Christmas trees, ornaments, villages, lights, and everything else that comes with Christmas. Both Hayden and I were so excited, but Blaine not that much. Then we ran into Santa Clause. It took us awhile to get Hayden over to see him, but once he got use to him he was fine. We took a picture of him and Santa on my phone and it turned out great.

Santa gave him a couple of candy canes, which ended up all over his face and hands. We had a blast. I'm so glad that we went. We are probably going back this weekend to buy our Christmas tree. This will be the first time that we have a fake tree. Having a real tree was great, but man it got old.

Associate Head Coach

Blaine was named Associate Head Coach at South Plains College. We are so excited for him. He works hard at what he does and it has paid off. He will start his indoor season January 17th at the Texas Tech Open. We are hoping that they will bring home another NJCAA Indoor and Outdoor National Championship.

We took Hayden around our neighborhood for Halloween. He had a BLAST! It was a beautiful day in West Texas. Thought that it was going to be cold like last year so his costume was built around the cold. That never happened. Half way through our Trick or Treating, Blaine took his helmet off and his hair was soaked. We went around a couple of blocks and headed home so we could pass out candy. I think Hayden had more fun passing out candy then Trick or Treating. Here are a couple of pictures of our Little Fireman.

WE ARE PREGNANT!

I am almost 15 weeks and starting to show. We are so excited, especially Hayden. He tells everyone that there is a baby in Mommy's tummy. I had to take fertility drugs again and we thought that it would take a while like it did with Hayden...but I only had to take two doses this time. It caught us by surprise. We had our second ultrasound last Thursday and the baby is looking great. I scanned the pictures for everyone to see. Hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

This was the first time that we have had 3-D pictures done. We couldn't believe the details compared to a regular ultrasound.

South Plains Fair

Ok...I know that it has been a long time since I have blogged but it has been a very busy few months for us. So, two weeks ago we went to the South Plains Fair. Nana and Papa came with us and enjoyed watching Hayden have fun. We ate all the bad stuff that you could possibly think of...corn dogs, fries, fried pies, corn of the cob and turkey legs. I think we took in our calorie intake for the week in one day, but it was fun and worth it. Hayden went on a couple of rides and we saw the animals and went to the petting zoo. He had so much fun we stayed till 3 and on the way home he feel asleep. Blaine and I stayed in the car with him when we got home because we were afraid that he wouldn't go back to sleep if we woke him up. He finally woke up 15 mins. later and said that he wanted to go to his bed. Blaine took him in there and he slept until 6. I guess we wore him out. Enjoy the pictures.

3rd Birthday Party

On Saturday, August 16, 2008 we celebrated Hayden's Birthday with a little party with some family and friends. He also had some kids from daycare show up. Hayden had such a wonderful time. We rented a big bouncer and slide for the kids but I think the adults had more fun then the kids. We want to thank everyone for all the great gifts. Hayden has been enjoying them. I have provided a some pictures from the big day. I was going to put a slide show up but it was giving me some problems. I'm also putting a video of us seeing "Happy Birthday To You." If you listen very close you can hear Hayden singing along.

4th of July Weekend

We were down in Round Rock for the 4th of July weekend. It's was great being back in central Texas. We came in on Wednesday night and meet Nana, Papa, Grandma, Grandpa C, Uncle JJ and Aunt Candy for dinner at my favorite restaurant in Pflugerville, Springhill Catfish. My Uncle Jim also came to the restaurant to visit and see Hayden. The next day we went and saw Mamma and Pappa, Blaine's grandparents. Hayden and I haven't seen them since January and they were sure missing their grandchild. We loved visiting with them! Then we went to Uncle JJ and Aunt Candy's house to go swimming at their community pool. We had a blast and I got to lay out, which I don't get to enjoy up here in Levelland unless you want to be covered in red dirt because of the wind. On the 4th we went to Round Rock's parade and fireworks and had a big 4th of July dinner. Then Saturday morning Blaine went and got the best donuts in the world, Round Rock Donuts. The two things that I wanted when we came back was Springhill Catfish and Round Rock Donuts. You can't get anything like that up in West Texas. Sunday came around and it was time for us to come home. What a short weekend. Wish we could have stayed longer. We miss our family and seeing them everyday. I put a little slide show together because there was to many great pictures just to post. Enjoy!

CritterFest

This past weekend at the Science Spectrum Museum they hosted CritterFest '08. They had tigers, crocodiles, camels, barn animals, big snakes, monkeys, miniature horses, pony rides, and cow milking demonstrations. Hayden loved feeding the camel and all the barn animals. When we were watching the cow milking demonstration, Hayden thought that the cow was going to the potty. We had to tell him that is was milk coming out of her not pee pee. What he enjoyed the most was Rosaire's Big Cat Encounters. They had five Bengal Tigers including a white tiger. They also had a Crocodile Encounter show that we weren't able to make it to because the show time was to late in the afternoon, we can't miss nap time. Hayden also painted a bug magnet and colored a tiger mask. We had a great time!

Hayden's Kitty

Well, when Blaine came home from the fishing trip in Del Rio three weeks ago he decided to bring a kitty back with him that had made its way up to the house where they were staying. He couldn't just leave the kitty behind to starve, so he made a kitty carrier out of a beer box and brought her home (thank goodness for Miller Light!). When I picked Hayden up from school that day Blaine had put the kitty in the backyard so she wouldn't be around our cats since she hadn't had any type of shots and she was very little. We told Hayden that there was a kitty in the backyard and he got so excited. It was love at first sight for the two of them. She was so friendly - when Hayden would sit down and pet her she would either climb in his lap or fall down on her back so he would pet her tummy. We wanted to keep her, but we were leaving for Florida in a couple of days. Our neighbor's daughter Lisa ended up taking her home to Seguin, TX. She is in a great home with a great person. Lisa is going to bring the kitty back to visit Hayden in July and he can't wait to see her again! Here are a some pictures of Hayden playing with the kitty.

Fishing Trip

Science Spectrum

We went to the Science Spectrum on Memorial Day. Had a great time. Hayden loved playing in the Physical Science Exhibits, Kidspace, loved seeing the Dinosaurs Exhibit, looking at all of the fish and reptiles in The Brazos River Journey. Then we played a little basketball in the Science of Sports but the one thing that they had and he REALLY LOVED was the big train set that they had set up on the top floor. Luckily it was the last exhibit that we went to because we couldn't get him away from it. Enjoy the pictures.

Big Boy Bed

It was a sad Sunday morning for Mommy and Daddy. We took Hayden's crib down. It was a tough decision but it was well worth it. Hayden did not like us taking it apart. He kept saying, "My bed." But we let him get involved taking it down and we think it helped him out. Once we got the crib out and rearranged his room we let him play in his big bed. After lunch he went down for a nap for the first time in his big bed and all he wanted to do was play and pull his curtian back to look out the window. So, I went into his room and told him that he needed to take a nap and not play around. Well, that was all it took and now he loves sleeping in his bed. We took alot of pictures of him with his crib and his big boy bed.

That morning when he woke up we took this picture.

Playing in his drawers that go under his big boy bed. He told us that he was going to sleep so he went and got his pillow and all of his blankets.

He now sleeps with Elmo. When he was in his crib he didn't sleep with anything. Now all of a sudden he wants to sleep with Elmo. I guess it helps with his transition. Elmo sleeps on his own pillow everynight. Also, check out the video of him climbing into his crib for the last time. It's GREAT!!!!

John Deere Tractor

Hayden has finally decided to ride his John Deere Tractor that Mamma and Pappa Wiley, Blaine's grandparents, gave him for his 1st birthday. National Champions

South Plains College Men's team captured its second straight NJCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championship Saturday. Blaine was awarded Assistant Track Coach of the Year. We are so excited for him. He deserves this award for all the hard work that he has done. It was a great meet, cold and rainy, but it was worth it in the long run. The Women's team was second. GO TEXANS!!!

Somersault

Hayden is becoming our little gymnastics boy. One of his friends at school, Kelby, is teaching some of the kids how to do somersaults. One day he came home from school and said "Watch me do a cartwheel Mama." What he really meant was a somersault, but that is what he calls it. It is so funny watching him do this. Thought that everyone else would like to see it too.

Chuck E. Cheese

Nana and Papa were in town this week and the took Hayden to Chuck E. Cheese for lunch one day. He had a blast. They couldn't get him to eat his lunch because all he wanted to do was play.

Bowling

Hayden went bowling for the first time a couple of weeks ago at a birthday party at Main Event in Lubbock. One of the employees was helping all the kids out who have never bowled (First Picture). He Loved It. He's becoming our little pro bowler. He didn't like waiting his turn in line or giving up the bowling ball when it was one of the other kids turn. He just want to keep bowling no matter what.

Potty Trained

YEAH!!! We are Potty Trained. We have been trained for over a month and things are going great. We are so exicted but sad at the same time because our little boy is growing up. His favorite underwear that he loves to wear are his Thomas and Friends, Cars, and stripes. He has to tell us which ones he wants to wear everynight. Well, He's A Big Boy Now!

Easter

Hayden went Easter egg hunting at a park in Lubbock. He got the golden egg as you can see and got a basket full of goodies for getting it. Grandma and Grandpa C came to visit and gave Hayden a Easter basket full of Thomas the Tank Trains, a Thomas carrying case, and a Thomas Easter basket. Can you say spoiled.
